Background
Marc is an expert in customer care, worked on the Floor as an agent and grew into manager and director of international customer service centres in the cultural diversity of a Europe, Africa and Middle East environment. He was in charge of contact centres for e.g. ITT Sheraton, Amadeus and Allienté, a spin-off from Hewlett Packard.
For ITT Sheraton he merged 4 EAME customer service centres into 1 central office in Cork, Ireland, That office grew from 40 employees in 1994 to a current workforce of over 480 people, lead by director Caroline Cooney, recruited as a customer service agent by Marc in 1994.
After his operational career, Marc worked during 4 years as a consultant in executive management development for IFL at Stockhom School of Economics. During this term he was involved in development programmes for multinationals such as Fortis banking and Insurance and SKF Germany.
Since 2003, Marc leads a thinktank in Creative Problem Solving (CPS). Corporate executives from multinational companies such as Pfizer, Bekaert, Electrabel, Indaver and First Data Corporation meet under his guidance 3 times per year to resolve strategic issues. Depth, discretion and concrete results differentiate this thinktank from similar initiatives. Since 2008 Marc started a second thinktank, with CEOs and senior directors of larger Belgian companies.
